BOTTOM 1ST: KOBY VOSBERG (CUBA CITY) PITCHING: IVAN JAKE (KENOSHA TREMPER) greeted Vosberg with a two-strike opposite field homerun. The lefty went with the pitch and lined it over the fence.
2nd: The South went down in order by three consecutive strike outs by Voit. The bottom frame saw an explosion of great offense and shoddy defense as the South took a 7-0 lead. Vosberg got the first two hitters out, but an error on shortstop, allowed him to reach 1st. Singles by Matt Mueller, Duobek, and frohmer, a double by Karst, and a homer by Johannes, his 2nd of the tournment, tagged Vosberg with 6 runs, all unearned.
3rd inning: Mitch Voit, Whitefish Bay’s talented Michigan-bound pitcher, struck out two in the inning and had an incredible 8 punch outs in 3 ii work. Evansville’s Will Peterson pitched around a coupleo f base hits and kept the East at bay. Voit finished his work for pitching for the East with a phenonomal shutout effort.
Lake Geneva Badger’s Tyler Deleskiewicz came in and thtew well, giving up three unearned runs.
