- Waupun Warriors: Waupun was loaded last year and are loaded again this year. Four 1st Team All-Conference players, two of whom are juniors, are back. The tradition is back on track.
- Waukesha Catholic Memorial Crusaders: Memorial made it to the Sectional Finals last year and bring back almost every starter. 1st Team All-C8 seniors Luke Fox and Chris Byhre both hit over .400.
- Jefferson Eagles: The State-Runner-Ups want another shot at a title and might get it. Four starters are back along with half the pitching staff, including 9-0 Ryan Brost, a lefty senior.
- West De Pere Phantoms: Dominating the Bay the past four years, the Phantoms are expected to do it again. They bring back four All-Bay players are look ready to make a run at a DII title.
- Tomah Timberwolves: Prielipp is almost unhittable. If the Timberwolves can find a little more pitching and the 6 returning starters have grown after last year, they’ll be tough to beat at any time.
- Beloit Turner Trojans: Tied with Jefferson last year in the first unified Rock Valley race. With six starters returning, the Trojans and Eagles are on yet another collision course.
- Greendale Panthers: The Panthers won a summer Regional last year and return almost all of their pitching and six starters. Are picked to win the Woodland West over Pewaukee.
- New Richmond Tigers: The Tigers have won the last three MBC titles but always found themselves a small DI school come tournament time. Look out: their top pitcher and five starters return.
- Waupaca Comets: One of many that could win the balanced North Eastern Conference. Six starters return but only a third are pitchers. Still, the Comets have a good, consistent program.
- River Falls Wildcats: River Falls will have a deep pitching staff that could challenge both Eau Claire schools for a Big Rivers title. Shortstop Adam Feyereisen hit .400 last year.
- Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes: Playing a tough, mostly DI North Shore schedule will make them dangerous come DII tournament time. Most of their pitching is back from last year.
- Plymouth Panthers: The Panthers finished 27-7. With most of the team coming back, they and Waupun will have a pair, or possibly three, great games this spring.
- Adams-Friendship Green Devils: Almost entire lineup returns for South Central favorites including six All-Conference players. Braedyn Quinnell hit .420 last spring and will lead the attack.
- Greendale Martin Luther Spartans: Metro Classic favorites and defending champs lost a lot to graduation but still return two 1st Team All-MCC players in Bryce Kulinski and Nate Crawey.
- Antigo Red Robins: Predicted to win their 7th straight Great Northern title despite losing a lot of talent from last year’s 25-win team. Junior Brady Renfro returns. He was 4-0 last year.
- Whitnall Falcons: The Falcons have been rising for three years. 2019 might be their year with almost half their pitching staff and half their starters returning,
- Freedom Irish: Won a Regional last year and return five starters and over half the pitching staff. They’ll challenge Waupaca for a North East Conference title along with...
- Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes: Fox Valley Lutheran. The Foxes return half of their starters from a team that was Sectional finalists last spring. They have a solid lineup throughout.
- Pewaukee Pirates: The Pirates won 20 games last summer and return most of their pitching plus five starters. They return All-Conference catcher Josh Geisel.
- Ashland Oredockers: Coach Chris Kempf picked up his 400th win last spring. He should get a lot more this year as the Dockers compete mostly in a Duluth-area conference, the Lake Superior.
