This season the Wisconsin Sports Network (WSN) is launching a baseball portion on their site WisSports.net. With over 50 million page views and 150,000 monthly unique visitors WisSports.net is the number one prep website in our state and we are excited that they are going to be covering promoting baseball this season.
Their number one goal for the upcoming season is to get a reliable log of scores, standings, schedules and rosters. We all know how tough this is with the rainouts and reschedules which is why it is important that we pitch in and help get them information. They will also be offering a statistics program to all coaches so that you can track your stats online if you wish.
We encourage you to send your rosters and schedules to them. These can be emailed at info@wissports.net or faxed to 608.222.2945. They will also be emailing all of you with a username and password early nesxt week, so that you can update your schedule, roster, stats and scores online.
The site will also feature Dennis Semrau as their featured baseball writer. Dennis has been covering preps in the state since 1991, has covered the Milwaukee Brewers and is a member of the Baseball Writers Association of America. Please send any news, notes or story ideas to Dennis at dsemrau@madison.com.
With the increased coverage that baseball is getting from WisSports.net and PrepsOnTheNet.com, baseball is getting better coverage than ever. Please participate with both organizations, getting them the information that they need so that they can help us by giving more coverage to our sport. It's good for baseball, and its good for your kids.
