Burlington Catholic Central is looking for one team from the northern part of the state to participate in a Midwest Classic Conference/Northwoods challenge series on Friday, April 9 and Saturday, April 10, 2010 in Burlington. Racine Lutheran and Shoreland Lutheran will be the other schools participating from the Midwest Classic. American Legion Post 21 and the Kenosha Merchants Baseball Club will be hosting the 2010 Andy Smith Memorial Wood Bat Classic June 24-27 at historic Simmons Field in Kenosha and surrounding fields. The tournament is named for the late Andy Smith, a member of the WBCA Hall of Fame who won WIAA state championships with Kenosha Bradford in 1963 and Kenosha Tremper in 1969 and American Legion state championships with Post 21 in 1963 and 1964. The tournament features 16 teams in pool play with medal rounds on Sunday for a four-game guarantee. Cost is $500. Past champions include Palatine ( Ill.), Genoa City, Taylorville (Ill.), Evanston (Ill.), Grayslake (Ill.) and the host Post 21 Merchants. Perfect Game USA of Cedar Rapids is looking for competitive 14 & Under Baseball teams to play on June 4 & 5, 2010 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This will be a round-robin tournament with a single elimination on Sunday. Cost is $300.00 per team and each team will provide 2 new baseballs per/game. The Kenosha Merchants Baseball Club and Carthage College will be hosting the 2nd annual Merchants/Carthage Indoor Wiffle Ball Tournament at Carthage the weekend of February 19-21, 2010. Age groups are 9U/10U, 11U/12U and 13U/14U. Cost is $100 with each team guaranteed three games. The event benefits both Carthage baseball and the Kenosha Merchants Legion team co-sponsored by American Legion Post 21. Beloit Bombers Baseball will be hosting a travel league for the 2010 baseball season. The league will be set up as a Home/Away league (each team will play each other at home and away). The cost for the league will be $275.00 for league fees and the cost of umpires for your home games. The fee will cover awards for league champion and the cost of the tournament at the end of the league. Ages we are going to host are 10U, 11U , 12U, 13U and 14U. Rules are available on request.

Teams unable to play home games can play double headers away and split costs or Beloit has some field time that may be avaliable.
